Pedro A. Ruiz received his degree in Computer Science specializing in Physical Systems from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in 1997. Since 2003, he is Professor at the UPV, member of the Department of Computer Systems and Computation (DSIC) and researcher at the Institute of Instrumentation for Molecular Imaging.
Since obtaining the degree, he has been engaged in research on issues related to the parallel and high performance computing. He has extensive experience in high performance computing for solving differential equations and the computation of matrix functions, with over 25 research publications at present, including journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings. He has also participated as a researcher in numerous research projects funded in public announcements.
He is currently developing his PhD thesis on functions of matrices and their application to engineering.
